Healthcare
Healthcare coverage is a critical need for immigrant families and children. It can make a difference and help immigrant families feel secure in the knowledge that they have access to healthcare.
Everyone can participate in our health-related workshops and seminars, and take advantage of other kinds of free consultation and referral to healthcare facilities.
We help the uninsured choose and apply for appropriate (free or low-cost) health plans. We take into account whether anyone in the family has special healthcare needs, and which language is preferred.
For example:
Child Health Plus A (CHPA): for children under 19 who are documented, or citizens of the United States.
Child Health plus B (CHPB): for children under 19 regardless of family income or the child’s immigration status.
Adult Medicaid or Family Health Plus: for those with limited income aged between 19-64 who are citizens, or fall within one of many immigration categories.
PCAP- Prenatal Care Assistance Program: for pregnant women with limited income regardless of immigration status. The service continues until two months after the pregnancy ends.
