The goal of this program is to strengthen families by offering assistance and services that lead to improved familial relationships and more effective coping mechanisms for solving problems in the future. In order to have successful outcomes a family must be a willing participate in the program and identify the problems at home and accept the needed services. The program offers the following services:
  • Individual and family counseling
  • Home and office based visits
  • Crisis intervention
  • Information and referral for entitlements/benefits and services
  • Advocacy
  • Conflict resolution
  • Training on Parenting Skills, and support groups on Teen Empowerment, Domestic Violence and Women’s Issues
  • Linkages to community services

This is a strength based approach where families are involved in identifying their problems and challenges, setting goals, planning services and defining the desired outcomes. One caseworker is assigned to each family. The caseworker assists you to learn new ways to solve problems that reduce stress and help families cope better. The primary goals of the program are: 1) to prevent child abuse and neglect and 2) to reduce and ultimately eliminate any risk of harm to oneself and one’s children.

We serve any family with a child/children living in the home. Our caseworkers speak Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, English and French.
