Kunchok Chodak

Case Planner




Kunchok is a Case Planner in the Preventive Services Program, serving Tibetan, Nepali, Urdu and Hindi-speaking immigrant families. Before joining AAFSC, Kunchok worked at the Center for Integration and Advancement of New American (CIANA) as a Case Planner. He has also worked with Tibetan refugees in Nepal for seven years. Prior to that, Kunchok was a Field Researcher for the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) in Kathmandu where he monitored newly-arrived refugees. He closely worked closely other refugee offices, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Formerly, he was a Repatriation Project Officer for the Tibetan Refugees Reception Center. Kunchok has a B.A. in General Studies from Punjab University in Chandigarh, India, and completed the Immigrant Professional Training Program at CAMBA in Brooklyn. He is fluent in Tibetan, Nepali, and Hindi.
