Thanksgiving Arts and Crafts

November 30, 2011

Students from the AAFSC’s after school program prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday with a Saturday afternoon of arts and crafts. Working with New York Cares volunteers, the students made paper plate turkeys and pipe cleaner butterflies. Check out their awesome creations below!

Saturday’s afternoon of arts and crafts is part of “Art Explorers,” a monthly art program at the AAFSC organized by New York Cares and staffed by their volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for future Art Explorers projects at the AAFSC, visit the New York Cares website or contact Jake Keyel at 718-643-8000 ext. 39. The AAFSC’s after school program thanks New York Cares for helping our students get in the Thanksgiving spirit!
