AAFSC’s Adult Education & Literacy Program Visits the Brooklyn Historical Society

December 6, 2011

Last Thursday the women of the AAFSC’s Adult Education and Literacy Program toured the Brooklyn Historical Society. While exploring the museum, the women practiced new English vocabulary and learned about the history of Manhattan and its boroughs. The AAFSC’s Adult Education and Literacy program offers five courses: a co-ed and women’s only beginning ESL course, a women’s only advanced ESL class, and a co-ed and women’s only citizenship class. If you are interested in volunteering as a conversation partner or a classroom assistant for the Adult Education and Literacy Program, please contact Nidal Alloubane at 718 –643 –8000 ext. 38.
