The Guardian: Coronavirus upends US Census Outreach

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is upending the 2020 Census, disrupting an already fragile operation that faced immense challenges in counting minority populations and other groups in the US before the outbreak of a global pandemic.

The Guardian recently intervewied AAFSC about how COVID-19 has changed our 2020 Census outreach plans in light of new social distancing directives from the state and as our team members move to teleconferencing and remote work.  Despite the changes, AAFSC has been working hard to actively get out the count online and over the phone.
