AAFSC’s Adult Readiness program empowers NYC’s immigrant and refugee adults and families with literacy and language skills, career preparedness, and the tools to acquire citizenship, equipping them to acclimate to and actively participate in their communities. In the AAFSC Research Institute’s latest Program Evaluation report, we examine the measurable impact of our services and take a closer look at AAFSC’s expansion and evolution of our adult education initiatives in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite unprecedented challenges, the Adult Readiness program increased enrollment by 464% and maintained a 100% pass rate for students taking the US Citizenship exam.
