We want to hear from you! AAFSC is excited to announce the development of No Walls, No Borders: An Anthology of Voices and Stories from Immigrants Living in NYC. We are calling for submissions of poems, stories, photographs, and art that illustrate what your identity means to you. We are proud to be a community of immigrants and refugees, but we are more than just that. We are a community of activists, working-class citizens, public servants, academics, youth, elders, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and more. We are a community that has come together through shared identities, language, ethnicities, and longings to create home away from home. Stories have the power to change hearts and minds, and the potential to write the future. Pick up the pen, the camera, the paint brush, and share with us your stories of home, migration and community!
Please include up to five tag words to accompany your submission. For example: Opportunity, Multi-generational, Culture Shock, Identity, Memory.
Summaries of up to 250 words are encouraged, but not required.
All written submissions should be doc or docx format.
Poems: There are no restrictions on form, but we do ask that you limit yourself to two pages. Submit up to five poems.
