Cultural Competency Trainings

The Arab-American Family Support Center is the leading culturally and linguistically competent, trauma-informed social service agency in New York. We hire our staff members from within the communities we serve, which translates to a better real-time understanding of community needs as well as a deep appreciation for and understanding of cultural differences. Further, we have over 25 years of experience offering direct service to a diverse group of recently arrived immigrants and refugees.

Cultural differences play a role in every interaction. We aim to ensure a level of mutual respect and understanding across social service agencies, government entities, first-responders, corporations, and more. This past year alone, we offered over 50 Cultural Competency Trainings to law enforcement, non-profit agencies, journalists, grantmakers, health and well-being providers, policymakers, and government representatives.

If you are interested in setting up a training for your staff or community, email us.
